Pittsburgh Panthers head coach Pat Narduzzi pulled off a stunning recruiting upset Wednesday, landing five-star linebacker Terrell Washington just days before the early signing period.
Washington, a 6-3, 225-pound prospect from Cleveland, had been committed to Ohio State since his junior year. His flip to Pitt represents the biggest recruiting win of the Narduzzi era.
"Coach Narduzzi showed me what it means to be a Panther," Washington said in his announcement video. "Pittsburgh feels like home."
The addition gives Pitt its first five-star commit since 2017 and addresses a critical need at linebacker heading into next season.
Washington is expected to compete for immediate playing time as the Panthers look to build on their 8-4 campaign.
