Film Analysis:

Jaden Crumedy is a six-year veteran who has played in more than 50 career games during his career at Mississippi State. Crumedy is listed at 6-foot-5 and 305 pounds. He has the ideal length, athleticism, and overall mass to be a scheme-versatile defensive lineman in the NFL. At Mississippi State, Crumedy aligned everywhere from a 0-tech on the center to playing outside shade of the OT.

Against the run, Crumedy can play gap-control technique where he locks out offensive linemen and sheds them, maintaining the integrity of the defense. Crumedy also has a quick first step to effectively execute slants and stunts. When stunting or slanting, Crumedy does a good job of getting gap penetration and can disrupt the flow of a play.

As a pass rusher, Crumedy has range and can execute stunts, looping and penetrating gaps. Crumedy also shows his functional strength as a player rushing the passer in how he converts speed to power and can work to start to collapse the pocket.

Crumedy’s concerns as a player involve his in-play awareness to make impactful plays consistently. Crumedy possesses all of the athletic traits to be an impactful player but there are movements where he appears to be more focused on executing his defensive assignment that he isn't aware of the offensive play. This can result in Crumedy running himself out of the play or being close to a play but not having his eyes in the right place to make a play. Crumedy’s production in both the run game and as a pass rusher was average, but watching the film, there is plenty of potential for him to be more impactful as a player.
