Film Analysis:

Isaiah Bond transferred to the University of Texas from Alabama, where he served as the reliable deep threat for the Crimson Tide offense in 2023. Bond is an explosive vertical threat who can quickly accelerate, creating separation between himself and defenders. Bond has effortless speed to stride past defenders and can use this speed to set up other elements of his game working the short and intermediate portions of the field.

Starting with releases, Bond has a mixed array of releases. He can quickly get upfield and put pressure on defenders, or he can tempo his releases trying to read defenses and gain the proper positioning he needs to run the route. As a route-runner, Bond is a fluid mover and can sink his hips to get in and out of breaks. This allows him to create separation from defenders at the top of the route while running in-breakers, even against tight man-to-man coverage. After the catch, Bond turns into an elusive runner, making defenders miss in space and then quickly accelerating upfield to pick up yardage. Bond has great start-stop ability, making him a difficult tackle in one-on-one situations for defenders in space. Bond profiles as a dynamic, instant-vertical-threat receiver who can make plays in the middle of the field and use his run-after-catch ability to make plays.

Bond's needed improvements as a receiver show when he is in high-traffic areas with defenders around him. It appears that Bond has a limited catch radius and when defenders are in phase with him, they can make a play on the football because he doesn't consistently extend his hands away from his body to catch the football. In the middle of the field, Bond will try to trap the ball against his body instead of extending for the ball, which limits his catch radius.

In the NFL, Bond should immediately provide a deep threat opportunity for offenses with his ability to get vertical, run past defenders, and track the football.
