Film Analysis:

Delmar Glaze is tackle-guard versatile. In pass pro, Glaze is a calculated technician who also showcases a high-level kick-step to take angles away from opponents. He has excellent footwork and is never over his feet nor too upright. Plays with an excellent base combined with strong hands. Won’t take long to take his opponent out of the play if he knows he’s simply more talented. Issues dropping anchor or working back up into the pocket were not a concern.

Glaze counters both speed and power well, but working with his hand counters will only raise his performance ceiling. Not overpowering, but technically refined. Not a nasty finisher who often staples defenders to the turf, but won’t waste an opportunity to pancake an opponent once leverage is established.

In the run game, Glaze is good inside of a phone booth but lacks the high-end power to move the line of scrimmage. Wins reps with body placement and leverage. Will engage, shuffle, and slide feet to remain in front of defenders. As a puller, Glaze will get out in space but his athletic profile and experience doing so lacks at this point in his evaluation. Frame has added room for strength, specifically in his shoulders/forearms to jolt opponents back. Smart and instinctual with the innate feel for twists and to locate potential free runners.

Overall, Glaze is a well-refined prospect whose ability in pass pro should pave the way for snaps early in his career. Added strength and increased technique as a run blocker should only elevate his floor in the years to come. The most consistent path to snaps could come at guard due to lack of high-end athleticism but I currently have zero concerns if an organization throws him at tackle early in his career.

Prospect Projection: Day 2 — Adequate Starter

Exposures: Ohio State (2023), Michigan (2023), Michigan State (2023)
