Film Analysis:

A 5-tech inside the Missouri defense, Darius Robinson is an extremely advanced run defender whose physicality pops off the screen. Robinson has a mature, NFL-ready frame—he is well-proportioned and has good overall length.

Robinson's skill set against the run will allow him to be an immediate contributor in countering the run at the next level. Spring-loaded hands consistently knock opposing linemen back. Utilizes an excellent rip and two-hand swipe to work his way into the backfield (Tennessee). Stack/shed ability is evident and consistently faced double teams on runs to his side. Sets the edge nicely and has the athleticism to play from the backside, also.

As a pass rusher, Robinson displays heavy hands and the power to relocate opposing tackles. Will have to improve his pass-rush repertoire to consistently push the pocket, but his bull rush will cause issues for tackles with a weak anchor. High-level explosiveness is lacking off the line of scrimmage, but his pure strength and quick hands to win inside/out make life tough for linemen. Has shown the ability to align as both an even and odd-front defensive end.

Robinson’s primary concerns center around his short-area quickness/twitch and tightness in his lower half. The quickness affects his ability to win around the arc with speed. Feet will also stop at times if rush plan is halted early in the rep (Tennessee). Will occasionally dip and make first contact with his head in his bull rush, vacating his vision and ability to read and react to his immediate surroundings (LSU).

Prospect Projection: Day 2 — Adequate Starter

Exposures: Georgia (2023), Tennessee (2023), Kentucky (2023), LSU (2023)
